Book a free 15-min consultationYou find yourself caught in an emotional whirlpool, asking yourself why you can't just stop. You scroll your phone in the middle of the night looking for something to calm you down, and you replay old conversations over and over in your head. You start to realize the anxiety and low moods are out of your control. This doesn't mean you aren't strong enough. It means you've been working hard to hold on for a long time. In therapy, we'll find the direction of change together.

How I work
Here's how we'll work together:
- First, we get to know your life and what your anxiety looks like: when these feelings started and what tends to bring them on.
- Using CBT and a psychodynamic approach, we look together at how your thoughts, feelings, and body react, and what sets them off.
- Building on the resilience you already have, we find ways of calming yourself that work for you, and you practice treating yourself a little more kindly.

What might change along the way
- A place where worries you can't quite put into words slowly become clearer
- Starting to understand where your feelings come from, instead of just being pushed around by them
- When a feeling rises, having more choices and feeling less overwhelmed
- Getting to know yourself again
Common questions about anxiety & depression
Do I need to take medication?
Medication needs to be evaluated by a psychiatrist. Therapy and medication can work side by side, and I can help with a referral if you need one.
How long before therapy starts to help?
It's different for everyone. Many people feel understood and less alone within the first few sessions. Deeper change takes time, and we'll check in on how things are going along the way.
Does online therapy really work?
A good amount of research supports online therapy. As long as you have a quiet space, we can do real work online.
